Mood Lighting
On February 21, 2016 by hottomatopinupacademy8I’ve been looking through past sessions recently, collecting some of our very favorites and incorporating them into posts in an attempt to revive some of my favorite sets.
I realized pretty quickly that what spoke to me most, weren’t sets at all. Light and shadow, that’s where the drama is. That’s where the secrets are, just out of focus or lurking in the blackness.
A beautiful artist and friend of mine once told me that the magic of art wasn’t what was obvious but what the person viewing it could pull from the image. The piece, then, becomes limitless in what it can convey.
We often ask clients, at their consultation, to send us some images that capture the mood they are going for.
We don’t copy.
What we want to do is capture.
What we create is art.
The story belongs to you.
If you are interested in a Nightshade or “mood” session, please fill out this form and tell us about it. Thank you for trusting us.
