That's a wrap on the Marietta Main Street Loft Tour! Huge thanks to my prep crew, Jocelyn Adelsperger and Lori Friend! Another warm thank you to my mama Sheila Roberts for baking delicious cookies and biscotti and helping me host! And a huge shout out to my curly headed love Murray Stewart-Jones for being my absolute rock this week, keeping things going at home, running errands, making sure I ate AND performing for our guests tonight! I get by with a little help from friends! Also, if you stopped by and had some of our delicious coffee, it's our favorite local roaster Stomp-N-Grounds Craft Coffees.

It must have been a terrifying sight to behold,
a group of witches gathered by firelight,
chanting, conjuring spirits, creating spells…
No wonder some were afraid.
But I think it was just women.
Being women.
Coming together, as they very much must,
to support one another,
to share their battles and pull each other
through the flames
they faced daily.
Sharing remedies, medicines
and ways to heal.
And believing they were so much more than told,
than allowed.
It is little wonder that the power of this union would appear like magic, to the unknowing eye.
But I think it was just women.

Things I want you to know if you are drawn to boudoir but can't quite say yes, yet.

You know your body is worthy of being photographed, just as it is.

You are not a before photo - you are a glorious human being who happens to exist in an earth bound flesh suit.

Your body does not exist on this earth to appear "pretty". You don't owe anyone pretty, sexy or submissive.

You don't have to lose 15, 40, or 100 pounds to have a boudoir body.

You can and SHOULD do a boudoir shoot just for you.

You don't have to be naked in your boudoir shoot.

You don't have to wear make-up for your boudoir shoot.

You don't have to wear lingerie in for your boudoir shoot.

You don't need to know how to pose.

You don't have to love yourself to be capable of being loved, you are worthy of love right now.

Sometimes I struggle with my body image too. It's an ongoing commitment to creating a kinder inner voice, not a quick fix.

The photos I share are not of professional models. They are women, just like you, who woke up one day and said this is it - today is the day that I schedule my phone consultation.

Almost no one who books with us has any modeling experience. Even when do a model call or discounted sessions for social media use, we don’t typically work with anyone that has previous modeling experience.

The women you see in our photos are just like you. The idea of doing a boudoir session resonated with them and they knew it was something they needed.

The women in the photos we share have felt so incredibly empowered by their session that their reasons for model releasing any of their private images is because they want to inspire other women to take the plunge.
