July’s HOT HOT HOT List!!

Part of my “job” description is to go out and enjoy this Ohio Valley and experience all the wonderful people and businesses it has to offer! Hot Tomatoes have high standards and only the HOTTEST ones make the list! Check out the July selections!!

EATS

The NET! A go to place when you want to have an amazing meal, a great selection of craft beer and a really good chance of running into friends! Located at  3500 Emerson Ave in Parkersburg, WV, this place is legendary LITERALLY! Established in 1899, this place has the pub atmosphere down to a home-spun science! Along with the standard NET burgers and dogs, they also have a great veggie burger and always pull in local and home-grown crops to make a seasonal side like potato and pasta salads to pair with a smorgasbord of great pub food!

The only thing that’s better than the food and brews at the NET is the crew! This group remembers every face that comes through the door! They will great you with a smile and be ready with your favorite beverage before you’ve settled onto your stool!

Hot Tomatoes grace their doorway on the regular. It just doesn’t get better than the NET!

ENTERTAINMENT

This amazing place got so much hotter this year! Why? Hot Tomato poolside meetings, of course! Bikinis, lipstick, red toes and big hats! Okay, let’s get down to why this place is super awesome. Two words: Lazy. River. There is seriously no better place to conduct female empowering business that bobbing along in an inner tube under the hot sun..lazily.

Kids? Oh, the KIDS! Of course. Children of all ages adore the Marietta Aquatic Center. The slides, the fountains, and the PIRATE SHIP! I mean, come on. Who doesn’t love a pirate ship? The lifeguards are amazing, the price is reasonable, the snacks are delicious and there’s plenty of room to spread out. Bring a big beach blanket and lay in the grass or get there early and snag some lounge chairs and an umbrella.

“The MOV is so very fortunate to have Full Circle Yoga hosting weekly classes at the lovely Point Park settled perfectly on the Ohio River. It truly is a unique experience to practice yoga outside, especially alongside the river. The sunshine is high at 6pm when classes begin, and the breeze comes off of the Ohio, providing a perfectly zen environment to practice yoga. The instructors gently encourage fun, giggles, and no self judgment during the classes. Yoga is truly for everyone. Join us for the Yoga at the Point. We will be focusing on the ‘flow’ of breath and strengthening the body.
Each Class is $5.00 ( cash only please )
Please bring your own Yoga Mat or Towel.
Teachers provided by Full Circle Yoga & Full Circle Yoga Teacher Training.
This will be every Wednesday at The Point Park unless it rains, then it will be inside Point Park Marketplace.
